BRA BOARD OF DIRECTORS Determining the relevance of the certificates issued, such as technical approvals, certificates of conformity, product certificates, certificates for buildings and building services through the Board of Consultants, Evaluation of objections and complaints.
BRA BOARD OF CONSULTANTS It consists of regulatory bodies, institutons and qualified specialists regarded necessary to be applied for their opinion. It has a documented structure including its conditions of impartiality. It provides the participation of all related parties involved in the development of policies and principles related to the scope and functions of the activities. In order to do so, all related parties are participated. BOARD OF TECHNICAL AND SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH ON CONSTRUCTION Taking the decisions of Technical Approvals, Certficates of Product and System, Issuing the certificates of Product and Sysytem and Technical Approvals, extension, renewal, suspension of these certificates, changes in scope, title and address, withdrawal of the contracts, removal of the suspension or withdrawal of the certificates.
Approval and Certification Unit Certificates such as techniacl approval, certificates of conformity, buildings and building sevices are prepared by its qualified personel. It evaluates the reports about technical approvals and certificates prepared by other units. When required, it cooperates with international associations for granting technical approvals (eg. European Technical Approval). It makes suggestions to the board for decisions of technical approval and certification. It keeps the information attained for technical approval and certification according to its privacy policy and shares it with no one unless required legally by the public bodies. Test and Scientific Services Unit It determines, developes the test methods for issues such as mechnanical stability, safety in fire, ventilation, building envelope, climate, environment, dangerous substances, water and sanitary systems, and it has them performed. It evaluates the results of the tests provided from outside. The tests reports issued are used to develop the applications for laboratory simulations and legislations. It gives consultancy services to the Ministry of Public Works and Settlement and other regulatory bodies and organisations in the construction sector for the development of legislations, technical opinions and design of new projects. It conducts the initial type tests of products that have been granted technical approvals, and reports the results. System Inspection Unit It consists of Factory Production Control, Construction Site, Building and Design Systems and Building Actors and Controllers. It inspects the systems of factory production control of the products that will be granted technical approval, the construction and design systems that will be assembled in construction site, and the building services for these construction and design systems. It makes suggestions to the board for the certifications of inspected systems. After the products begin to be used in the buildings, it controls the products during the life cycle of the building. Legislation and Training Unit It carries out the human resources activities by providing trainings in the line with consultancy principles, building up and updating the technical consultants, and by providing vocational trainings from specialists. It works on regulations related to the Quality Managment System of the Board and its activities. Technical Approval Publishing Unit It declares the decisions about updates, validity period, renewal and withdrawal of the issued technical approvals to the public opinion. It translates European Tecnical Approval Guidelines in Turkish and publishes them. |
